It looks like the Moto G Google Play Edition has become the latest handset to get updated to Android 4.4.4 KitKat, the security update quietly launched by Google last week. This is actually the first update the Moto G GPE has received since its January release date, and with that in mind, it’s quite a chunky one at 161 MB, as it includes the changes that took place on the previous Android 4.4.3 update.

Naturally, users will have to be very patient, as Google is notorious for rolling out software updates in phases – yes, it might take more than a week or so for the update to arrive for some users, but your patience should be rewarded the moment the software arrives.
