Motorola releases Lollipop update for Moto G phones in India

Motorola on Friday started pushing out Lollipop update for Moto G phones in India. The both models of Moto G — the older one released in 2013 and the newer one released in 2014 — are getting the update.

Motorola said that the update would be reaching consumers in phases so it is possible that you may not see the software update immediately. But it is expected to be available on all phones within a day or two.

Also, as specified by Motorola earlier, the users of the Moto G (2013) model will need to have the updated app that controls OTA (over the air) updates. This app, if not already installed, can be downloaded from the Google Play store.
