For years, Android-running smartphones have been trending toward bulky frames to fit ever larger screens, but Motorola’s new Droid RAZR M is an excellent exception with a big display in a compact size at just $ 99.

The Droid RAZR M features a 4.3-inch screen with a 960-by-540-pixel resolution. To fit the large screen but retain a small frame, the display extends from edge to edge quite impressively. The screen isn’t HD, but you still get a high-quality image with bright vibrant colors.

The Motorola phone also feels like it’s built to last. The Droid RAZR M has an aluminum frame with three big screws on each side that add to its aura of toughness, and it’s back plate is coated with Kevlar, making it scratch-resistant.

The Droid RAZR M also includes most of the features you expect out of Androids nowadays.

It’s capable of connecting to high-speed 4G LTE, it has a 1.5-Ghz dual-core processor and it comes with a front camera and 8-megapixel rear camera. It also includes Near-Field Communication technology, or NFC, so you can pass data from this device to another Android by simply tapping them.

The Google acquired Motorola recently announced the release of Razr I Smartphone with an Intel chip inside. Motorola has claimed that their new 2.0Ghz Intel chip will allow a battery life of up to 20 hours once the phone is charged even though the phone has a super Amoled 4.3” screen that sucks a lot of battery.

The Motorola even further went to an extent of saying that their Razr I’s battery is 40 times powerful than the iPhone 4s. The phone has an amazing 8MP camera that actually starts in less than a second.

The senior vice-president of Motorola, Jim Wicks said that “Collaboration with Intel is to redefine what people can expect from their mobile device.”

Intel is also trying to enter in the booming mobile Smartphone market that is currently dominated by ARM. The phone was launched at a London press conference. That phone was compare with Apple’s I phone 4S and the latest I phone 5. Executives of Motorola said that the phone had a 50 percent larger than the latest model of Apple.

The phone will not have a 4G feature. The phone will also need to be upgraded to Google’s latest operating system, 4.1 Jelly bean. The phone is also splash proof and also includes features like an edgeless design where the glass covers the phone till the edge.
